WOSD offers training programs for both beginner and experienced divers. Some courses have specific entry requirements, such as a minimum age, a previous certification or a minimum number of logged dives.
The price of a WOSD course may vary between dive centers. Each dive center determines what is included in the course price, such as instruction, equipment rental, dives and training materials. Contact your WOSD Dive Center for current prices and details of what is included.
Yes. WOSD certifications are internationally recognized and can be used to demonstrate the level of diving training you have completed. Please note that individual dive centers always determine which certifications and experience they accept.
A WOSD course focuses on developing your diving knowledge and skills in a safe and responsible manner. Training is provided by a recognized WOSD professional and follows WOSD training standards.
The duration varies depending on the course. It depends on factors such as the type of course, the required theory and practical sessions, and your individual progress. Your WOSD Dive Center can explain the course structure and give you an indication of how long the training will take.
To participate in a diving course, you must meet the medical requirements applicable to that course. Depending on your answers to the medical questionnaire, medical clearance or approval from a physician may be required. If you have any doubts, discuss them with your WOSD Dive Center before starting the course.
No, a WOSD diving certification does not expire. However, if you have not been diving for a longer period of time, it is recommended that you refresh your knowledge and skills before returning to diving.
The minimum age varies depending on the WOSD course. Different age limits and requirements may apply to youth programs and regular diving courses. Check the requirements for the specific course or ask your WOSD Dive Center which minimum age applies.
If you have lost your certification card, please contact WOSD or your WOSD Dive Center. They can check which certifications are registered in your name and help you obtain a replacement.
First, check that you are using the correct email address and password. If possible, try resetting your password. If you are still unable to log in, please contact WOSD or your WOSD Dive Center for assistance.
If your certification has been digitally registered with WOSD, you can find it through the appropriate WOSD online environment. If you cannot find your certification, please contact WOSD or your WOSD Dive Center.
To become a WOSD Divemaster or Instructor, you must complete the appropriate professional training program. Entry requirements may apply regarding your current certification level, diving experience and additional qualifications. A WOSD Dive Center or Instructor Trainer can advise you which training program is appropriate for your current level.
If you would like to affiliate your dive center with WOSD, please contact WOSD. You will receive information about the requirements, opportunities and application procedure.
Qualified diving instructors can become affiliated with WOSD. Depending on your current instructor qualification, you may need to complete a WOSD training program or crossover. WOSD can assess your qualifications and determine which route applies to you.
Yes. Instructors from other recognized diving organizations may be able to transfer to WOSD through a crossover program. The appropriate route depends on your current qualifications and experience. WOSD can assess your certifications and experience and advise you on the steps required.
If you have a complaint about a WOSD Instructor or affiliated Dive Center, first try to resolve the matter directly with the Instructor or Dive Center whenever possible. If you are unable to resolve the issue together, you can submit your complaint to WOSD. Clearly explain what happened and include any relevant information or documentation.
