The timeline of WOSD

Below is an overview of the developments that WOSD has gone through.

 

  • 2023

    EUF CertifiedISO recognition of the WOSD courses is renewed with an 'excellent' result.

  • 2021
    The new WOSD online store (Digital Purchase StoreTM / D-Purchase) is published in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic time. With this, WOSD shows confidence in the capabilities of its instructors to provide training, even in these difficult times.
  • 2020
    The WOSD digital learning system (D-Learning System) is now linked to the WOSD D-Member system allowing students to go directly to classes from their member area.
  • 2020
    WOSD is the first diving organisation in the world to only issue digital certifications to reduce the 'plastic soup' in our waters. Another step closer to protecting the environment.
  • 2019

    Logo D-MEMBERThe new membership and certification system (Digital Membership SystemTM / D-Member system) is online. It is also fully adapted to the latest Dutch AVG privacy and GDPR privacy guidelines.

  • 2018

    EUF CertifiedISO recognition of the WOSD courses is being renewed. WOSD is therefore the first diving organization in the world to receive recognition based entirely on a digital teaching system.

  • 2015

    WOSD is the first diving organisation in the world to place QR codes on its certification cards. This allows the status of the diver to be checked immediately.

  • 2014
    Logo D-LEARNINGWOSD introduces a new version of its digital learning system (the Digital Learning SystemTM / D-Learning).
  • 2011
    EUF CertifiedWOSD achieved ISO recognition for 7 of its diving courses. Obtaining this ISO recognition means that these WOSD courses are recognized by more than 163 countries in the world.
  • 2010
     logo IAHD landscapeWOSD acquires the International Association for Handicapped Divers (IAHD). This also gives people with a physical and/or mental disability the opportunity to follow diving courses through modern training resources.
  • 2006
    WOSD is the first diving organisation in the world to introduce digital learning for diving courses. As a result, textbooks are no longer used, which means that the environment is partly spared.
  • 2005
