Logo NachtduikerA setting sun does not have to mean that the possibilities for diving are over for the day. Although many divers believe that at night, just like on land, there is not much to see, in actual fact, the opposite is true. In many locations the underwater life is much more active at night than during the daylight hours. Eel, Moray Eels and Lobsters, to name but a few, go in search of prey under the cover of the night. In addition, you are likely to notice a lot more details at night, because you will focus on what you see in the beam of your dive lamp. When diving at a dive site where you thought that you had seen everything, you will have a new and interesting experience.

In the WOSD 'Night Diver' specialty course, you will learn the techniques required to enable you to enjoy diving long after the sun has set, in a safe and easy manner as well as the techniques for diving in reduced visibility.
