Logo IAHD partneropleidingenIf you want to go diving and you have a physical or mental limitation, you want to educate in this or you want it assisting/Guide, then there are the courses of the IAHD (International Association for Handicapped Divers). IAHD is an independent, autonomous subsidiary of WOSD.

IAHD gives people with physical and/or mental disabilities the option to learn to dive under the guidance of professional, well-trained instructors to give you an unforgettable underwater experience.

The courses that IAHD provide are not limited to courses specifically for the disabled and related Instructor courses.

There are also courses for non-diver family members and friends. In addition, courses are available to teach divers how to assist and escort disabled divers.

Depending on the course you will be told how you should assist a disabled diver in order to make the dive experience for him or her even more enjoyable. You can use the Internet-based D-Learning system, and thus study in your own time, when and where it suits you. You can also contact the Dive Instructor at any time by email if you they have any questions, so there is no need to wait until a theory lesson is held at the dive centre.

More info on the youth courses of IAHD is available on the website of IAHD (http://www.iahd.org/opleidingen/partner-courses).
