Today, Friday 9th May, WOSD Technical Instructor Trainer Pim van der Horst, together with Mario Marconi and Alessandro Scuotto, dived to a record depth using a CCR Rebreather (an Oroborous). During this record breaking dive, the three dived to the wreck of the "Milano" in the Lake Maggiore (Lago Maggiore in Italian) in Italy. The wreck lies in 230 metres of water. Pim has set the depth record at 236 metres.
During the dive, Pim was also assisted by WOSD Instructor Remko van de Peppel (among others) who, using a rebreather (an Inspiration Classic) functioned as a so-called "Shallow Support Diver" for safety as standby diver.
Congratulations on achieving this record!
