The World Organisation of Scuba Diving (WOSD) was setup in order to realise a new innovative method for conducting diver training. Traditional (diver) training courses often require a trainee to learn from a book in a classroom, with an instructor who simply repeats what they have already read in the book several times at home. These systems do not utilise modern multi-media materials or allow self-study. All WOSD courses are based on the so-called “Digital Learning System” or “D-learning”. When a trainee decides to follow a D-Learning course, they receive a multi-media package, which they then use in their own time to reach the learning goal. The trainee studies in the comfort of their own home at the times that they choose. |
